IA Advocates and Lt. Governor Deliver 3k Signatures On Gay Marriage

Iowa – With the state legislature working on proceedings to impeach 4 of the Supreme Court Justices over their vote to legalize gay marriage, activists and the Lieutenant Governor delivered 3,248 signatures to the House Speaker demanding that he block impeachment.
The signatures were delivered to House Speaker Kraig Paulsen’s office by former Lt. Gov. Sally Pederson and activists. The other 3 Justices were voted out of office in November after out-of-state organizations like the National Organization For Marriage (NOM) poured millions of dollars into a campaign to smear the judges for their decision that blocking gay-marriage was against the Iowa Constitution.
Paulsen, a Republican from Hiawatha, has maintained he won’t use the powers of his office to block the impeachment effort.

"Eric, trying to have this (civil rights) conversation with you is ultimately like trying to teach a pig to dance, it just annoys the pig. So Eric, sorry to annoy you."
-Paul Mero, The Sutherland Institute.
Does anyone actually take an organisation with the acronym NOM seriously? They sound like a group of icanhascheezburger fans. Dear NOM: I’ll be over here laughing at you with my robot – sorry, girlfriend.
