Tonight was the last Countdown With Keith Olbermann, as he announced he was leaving MSNBC. I want to add an enormous thank you to Keith as he has been the voice of reason in these times of political turmoil and nonsense. Below is my favorite Countdown moment ever.
Best wishes to Keith Olbermann wherever he may end up, I’m sure we haven’t seen the last of him.
Here’s his farewell:

"Eric, trying to have this (civil rights) conversation with you is ultimately like trying to teach a pig to dance, it just annoys the pig. So Eric, sorry to annoy you."
-Paul Mero, The Sutherland Institute.
Real*live*tears! Whatever caused him to leave his integrity is intact. One way or the other he took a stand. That’s what I truly admire about Olbermann. I hope he rests up while he entertains the offers that come his way. When he comes back, he will be that much better and we will follow! Will miss him dearly while he’s gone.
I’m sure we will see Keith again.
