The Pope Comments On UK’s Equality Law Less Than A Week Before He Visits

Posted By on September 13, 2010

UK – Pope Benedict (the child-molester and rapist enabler) has gone on the offensive about Great Britain’s Equality Laws less than a week before he visits. Big shocker here, the Pope says gay marriage “weakens the principles of natural law.”

Big protests are scheduled against the Pope during his visit, including some by major gay-rights groups. This should be interesting..

Pope Benedict

“Benedict, speaking before paying a historic visit to the U.K. later this week, said the Roman Catholic Church ‘cannot approve of legal initiatives that imply a re-evaluation of the life of the couple and the family.’ The pope, in a reference to legalized marriage among homosexuals, said such laws ‘contribute to the weakening of the principles of natural law’ and to ‘confusion about society’s values.’ He made his remarks today while receiving Germany’s new envoy to the Holy See at his summer residence in Castel Gandolfo south of Rome, according to a transcript posted on the Vatican’s website.”

    He personifies stupid!

  2. Vo Dong Cung says:

    Legalized marriage among homosexuals ‘contribute to the weakening of the principles of Christian’s Genesis book, not natural law. Everyhing exists on the universe is followng natural law. Unaccept the existing is doing against to natural law.

  3. Craig says:

    What the pope is referring to by “natural law” isn’t the natural laws of the universe, or the natural behaviour of humans, but this. It’s a specifically Catholic doctrine/philosophy and world-view originating with Thomas Aquinas, though it is also somewhat popular in Protestantism as well.

    This is the reasoning behind all of Catholicism’s anti-gay, anti-choice, anti-contraception, anti-sex-for-anything-but-procreation nonsense. Sex is “naturally” only for procreation, so any other usage of sex is “wrong” or “immoral”.

  4. Craig says:

    @Zia

    He’s not stupid at all, he’s incredibly intelligent – he’s just brainwashed by a religious worldview that precludes him from realising that the fundamental assumptions that his worldview are based on are total crap.

    The Catholic church isn’t stupid. It’s backwards, draconian, patriarchal, corrupt, and rigid. And filthy rich. His intelligence is what makes him, and the organisation he heads so dangerous.

    @Craig See Thomas Monson for more details :)

  6. Craig says:

    @Admin,
    Exactly. The Catholic and LDS churches have much in common – even to the point of covering up the rape of children.

      @Craig
      Hence the problem of what to do. How does one compete with billion-dollar corporations like the Mormon and Catholic churches?

  7. Craig says:

    The hell if I know. Keep promoting secularism and rational, evidence-based thinking and hope that over time they lose more and more of their influence?
