Paul Mero: Gays and Pedophiles Are Mentally Disturbed

Utah – Paul Mero, President of the anti-gay group Sutherland Institute jumped on his weekly “Mero Moment” recently to let everyone know what’s “really going on.” Gays and Pedophiles are “revolting” and sick.
These weekly short-addresses are hilarious and laughable (only 18 people have actually watched this one, most of whom probably work for Sutherland), but once in a while I still jump on their Youtube channel just to see what level of crazy Paul Mero is currently cooking up.

In this address, Mero discusses the recent conference in Boston with the Jons Hopkins Sexual Disorder Clinic to talk about pedophilia. Mero is taking issue with the idea that pedophilia may be classified further as a sexual disorder.
Debatable topic to be sure. But it only takes about 30 seconds for Paul Mero to switch to his real topic: the gays. As usual, he cleverly switches back in forth between talking about LGBT people and pedophiles, so that he doesn’t actually have to be very negative when describing gay people – but he can associate them with pedophiles as he uses rhetoric like “mentally disturbed.”
According to Mero – the “homosexual movement” (you know, that whole civil rights thing), is the inspiration for pedophiles, psychologists have all been influenced and tricked by gay rights activists into thinking homosexuality isn’t a mental disorder and now the pedophile activists (do they even exist?) are following lead.
Like I said ……… laughable. Honestly not even worth a mention, except that these are the people who have some of the heaviest influence in the Utah Legislature. Let the crazies be their own little pathetic crazy – except that they are influencing public policy. The official Sutherland Institute “Chunky Flunky,” Representative LaVar Christensen is still trying to get Sutherland’s ridiculous bills attacking LGBT people passed. If you don’t remember, there are 3 of them: Stripping Contract Law rights, such as assigning hospital visitation; strengthened the anti-gay marriage amendment; and permanently condoned housing and workplace discrimination throughout the state.
Most states, the bigots are kept in their little dark corners. In Utah: it seems they’re flaunted.
